Refund policy

We want you to love your order. Everything we sell is printed to order in the UK, so our returns work slightly differently depending on what you bought. Nothing in this policy affects your legal rights.

Damaged, faulty, misprinted or wrong items

If your item arrives damaged, faulty or misprinted, or isn't what you ordered, we'll put it right. This includes personalised items.

Email hello@sleightheday.co.uk with your order number and a clear photo of the problem. Please tell us as soon as you can, ideally within 30 days of delivery.
We'll send a free replacement or give you a full refund, whichever you prefer.
In most cases you won't need to send the item back. If we do need it, we'll pay the return postage.

Changed your mind? (non-personalised items only)

You can cancel and return non-personalised items within 14 days of receiving them. Here's how it works:

Tell us within 14 days of delivery. Email us with your order number and the item(s) you'd like to return. We'll send you the returns address and a returns reference. Please don't send items back without contacting us first, as unexpected parcels can't always be matched to an order.
Post it back within 14 days of telling us. Pack it securely, include your returns reference, and use a tracked service. You're responsible for the item until it reaches us, so keep your proof of postage.
You pay the return postage for change-of-mind returns.
We refund the item price to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving it back (or of you showing us proof of postage, if that's sooner). UK delivery is free, so there are no delivery charges to refund.

Condition of returned items

Please treat items as you would in a shop. You can check an item and, for pet clothing, briefly try it on your pet to check the fit. Items must come back unworn (beyond that quick check), unwashed, and free from pet hair, marks, smells, chewing or damage.

If an item has been used more than you'd need to check it, for example worn on walks, washed, covered in fur or damaged, we'll reduce your refund to reflect its loss in value. Where it can't be resold, this may be up to the full price. We'll always explain any reduction.

Exchanges

Because every item is printed to order, we can't swap an item for a different size, colour or design. Just return it under the steps above for a refund and place a new order. If you're unsure about a size, email us before ordering and we'll help.

Gifts

If you received an item as a gift, email us with the order number (or the buyer's name and email). The refund will go to the original payment method used by the buyer.

Personalised items

Items printed with names, dates or other details you give us are made just for you, so we can't accept returns or give refunds if you change your mind or order the wrong size, or if the personalisation you entered is incorrect. Please check spelling, dates and sizes carefully before you order. Your rights for damaged, faulty or misprinted items (above) still apply.

Sizing, especially pet clothing

Please measure before you order and use the size guide on each product page. Our pet hoodies, T-shirts and parkas are designed for small to medium dogs and cats. Even our largest size (2XL) fits a chest of no more than 68 cm (hoodies) or 62 cm (T-shirts and parkas), so it won't fit large breeds. Non-personalised items in the wrong size can be returned under the change-of-mind policy above, at your cost.

Cancelling or changing an order

We send orders to print quickly, especially in December, so email us as soon as possible.

If your order hasn't gone to print yet, we'll cancel or change it for free.
If a non-personalised item has already been printed or sent, you can still cancel. Just return it when it arrives, following the change-of-mind steps above.
Personalised items can't be cancelled once they've gone to print.
